Fresco Privacy Policy

Fresco is a Chrome extension that replaces the New Tab page with artwork from selected sources.
Data We Process
- Settings and preferences: source selection, movement filters, and display mode.
- Uploaded images: if you upload your own images, they are stored locally in your browser extension storage.
- Current image state: the extension stores the currently displayed image reference to preserve your view across browser restarts.
Where Data Is Stored
- Data is stored locally in your browser using
chrome.storage.localand local browser storage. - Fresco does not run a backend server and does not store your personal data on developer-controlled servers.
Network Requests
Fresco can fetch public-domain artwork metadata and image URLs from:
https://commons.wikimedia.org/*https://upload.wikimedia.org/*
These requests are used only to display selected artwork in your New Tab page.
Data Sharing
Fresco does not sell personal data and does not share your local settings or uploaded images with third parties.
Your Controls
- You can switch sources or disable online source use in extension settings.
- You can remove the extension at any time to delete extension-stored data.
